Paige Turco Joins 'NCIS' New Orleans Spin-Off

Paige Turco is set to join the "NCIS" spin-off series along with actors Scott Bakula, C.C.H. Pounder and Zoe McLellan, according to reports this week.

CBS' "NCIS" spin-off will take place in New Orleans, according to the network, and Turco will appear in a recurring role as Linda, the wife of Bakula's character, according to Deadline.com. The 48-year-old actress is best known for television roles such as on "All My Children" and "Person of Interest," but Turco also appeared in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" films in the early '90s.

The New Orleans spin-off series of CBS hit crime drama is set for a two-part premiere this spring. Golden Globe-winning actor Bakula will portray a character described as "a unique federal agent working in one of this country's most unique cities," according to a report by Entertainment Weekly.

"The NCIS New Orleans office handles cases from Pensacola through Mississippi and Louisiana to the Texas panhandle," details from the pilot indicated. "New Orleans with its rich setting of music, fun and debauchery is a magnet for military personnel on-leave. And with fun comes trouble. It is a natural backdrop for a unique character driven spin-off."

The 11th season of the original "NCIS" airs Tuesdays on CBS at 8 p.m. EST. The series just celebrated its 250th episode and recently welcomed a new actress, Emily Wickersham, to the cast.

"Emily Wickersham's Ellie Bishop is proving to perfectly compliment the NCIS team," said Gary Glasberg, executive producer of the show, in a statement to CNN. "Her energy and enthusiasm is contagious. Great things are planned for Bishop and we couldn't be more thrilled to have her on board."

Wickersham's arrival followed the sudden departure of Cote de Pablo who left the series abruptly after eight season over "personal" matters. Her character, David, was written off of the show.
