Paul Walker's daughter Meadow wins $10.1 million as settlement from Roger Rodas estate
Paul Walker's daughter Meadow Rain Walker, now 17 years old, has been awarded a $10.1 million settlement from the estate of Roger Rodas. Rodas had been driving the car that crashed and killed him and "Fast and Furious" actor Paul; this was in the year 2013. The settlement was announced by Jeff Milam, Meadow's attorney. Milam also revealed that the money awarded will be put in trust for the teenager who had been 15 when her father died. After expenses and lawyer's fees, the young girl will get $7.2 million from the settlement fund.
Paul had been a passenger on the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT which Rodas was driving at 80 to 93 miles per hour. They hit some trees and a utility pole at Santa Clarita, somewhere northwest of Los Angeles. Rodas was deemed responsible for the crash even though he had not been making any "unsafe maneuvers," Milam tells TMZ.
The settlement had been reached in November 2014 but had gone unnoticed for a while because it had been filed under "Meadow W."

Milam claims that Rodas had been only partly responsible for the car crash. The settlement represented merely a "fraction" of what Meadow's father would have made had he not died in the crash.
No comment has been forthcoming from the lawyers for the Rodas estate.
Meadow is also pursuing a lawsuit against Porsche to hold it responsible for the defective vehicle that was instrumental in her father's death.
Meadow's attorney told E!, "Meadow's father, Paul Walker, was a passenger in the car. He survived the crash but was trapped and burned to death because of the vehicle's defects."
Paul had been a big star on the street racing film series "Fast and Furious," and his death had affected the production of the future installments of the film. The 2015 film was the highest-grossing films of all time, earning $1.5 billion in the box office.
