After ending season 3 with a massive cliffhanger, "Peaky Blinders" Season 4 will see the Shelby crime clan unleashing another barrage of chaos. The series will feature an impressive cast including Aidan Gillen who plays the scheming Littlefinger in HBO's Game of Thrones.
In a teaser released by BBC, fans witness some of the fallout after family crime boss Tommy Shelby (Cillian Murphy) seemingly threw his family under the bus. However, as Shelby tries to repair the damage done by his actions, a new gang headed by a ruthless crime boss (Adrien Brody) muscles in on Shelby territory and becomes the biggest existential threat to the already weakened crime family.
Among the new members set to join the cast is Gillen who will appear in a yet unspecified role. The 49-year-old Irish actor has been a regular in HBO's hit fantasy drama up until his character's death last season.
Another actor set to play an unspecified role in "Peaky Blinders" Season 4 is Charlie Murphy whose resume includes the historical action series "The Last Kingdom," the quirky crime drama "Happy Valley" and the pastoral drama "The Village."
Charlotte Riley is also expected to return this season as May Carleton. Riley first played the role back in season 2 depicting Carleton as a rich widow who with stunning looks who was a beneficial connection as a champion horse breeder.
She was undoubtedly the perfect woman for Shelby, at least on paper. However, the gangster ultimately chose Grace who was later killed in season 3. Carleton's return might hint of a budding romance between the two especially with Shelby still reeling from the loss of his wife.
There is currently no official premiere date for "Peaky Blinders" Season 4 both in the UK and the US. However, with filming for the series kicking off back in March of this year, fans could very well see the return of the crime drama this fall.
