'Person of Interest' News, Spoilers: TCA Event Reveals A Handful Of Season 5 Details

A "Person of Interest" Season 3 character is about to reemerge in the upcoming episode of the hit crime drama TV series from CBS.

A report from TVInsider.com indicated that actress Carrie Preston, who plays the role of Grace Hendricks in the show, will be returning before Season 5, which is reportedly the finale series, comes to a close.

Grace was Mr. Finch's (Michael Emerson) fiancée. Emerson and Preston happen to be married in real life.

"There's something special about looking in the eyes of your real-life husband and at the same time, you're looking in the eyes of this character," Preston was quoted as saying by the media outlet during the Television Critics Association winter press tour in Pasadena. "It's really fun to do that. He's really loved on that set; I have a bit of a wifely pride."

Outside of POI, the 48-year-old is also slated to reprise her role in "The Good Wife" Season 7 as Elsbeth Tascioni. Fans can also catch up on the actress who has also filmed with Netflix's "Grace and Frankie" for a guesting role.

As for the Jim Caviezel-led drama, CBS Entertainment President Glenn Geller spoke in a separate TCA panel last week that Season 5 will be returning to the airwaves this spring. It had been reported earlier that the new chapter will open in summer.

In addition to the release date, Geller dished out more details about the new season.

"[Showrunners Jonah Nolan and Greg Plageman] have planned a terrific season," the network executive was quoted as saying over at Entertainment Weekly. "Can't wait for the fans of the show to see it. It'll be a real treat for viewers."

When pressed by the media to confirm if Season 5 will be the last run of the show, Geller only said that "no, we haven't aired the show yet. I'm not sure."

"Person of Interest" features the acts of Caviezel as a former CIA agent working for Emerson's character in a bid to stop crimes before they even happen.
