Pitman Murder Suicide? Police Investigating After Husband, Wife, 6-Year-Old Found Dead

Pitman police are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide incident, according to officials in the region.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office and the Pitman Police Department have confirmed that an investigation has gotten underway. PPD officials have said that a deceased man, woman and child have been identified as 49-year-old Francis Adolf, his wife 44-year-old Bonnie Adolf and their child 6-year-old Francis Adolf Jr.

The bodies of the three were discovered by police officers shortly after 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday in a residence on Kenton Avenue.

All three bodies have been sent for autopsies to determine the cause of death and hopefully find out the manner in which the deaths took place. Results are pending and could take some time to come back and confirm what happened in the incident.

However, a big possible clue has been identified, with police explaining that Francis Adolf left writings indicating he intended to harm himself and family members, and although it cannot be confirmed that Francis was behind the incident, it appears at least on the surface that this is a murder-suicide incident.

Police have also confirmed that there was no reported domestic violence history between the Adolfs.
