Powerball Winning Numbers for May 14, 2016: Where To Watch Live Stream of $50 Million Jackpot Draw
Friday the 13th will now always be a very lucky day for a New Jersey mother who just claimed the $429.6 million Powerball jackpot -- the biggest win ever in New Jersey, on Friday, May 13, 2016.
Thought of as "divine intervention," big winner Pearlie Mae Smith of Trenton, a church pastor, revealed that she "rarely" gambles. She revealed to officials that the winning digits just "popped into her mind," which she later then felt compelled to bet on them at a local 7-Eleven store. Andrea Shinn, who runs the establishment, received a $30,000 for selling the golden ticket, New York Times reports.
The numbers 5, 25, 26, 44, 66 with the red Powerball 9 and multiplier 2 won on May 7. The great news was announced to them by one of Smith's daughters.
The big night's win left the rest of the Powerball players the latest jackpot at $40 million with cash option of $26 million. But since there were no winners for the Wednesday, May 11, drawing, the May 14 prize will now be worth $50 million and cash option of $33.1 million, as indicated in the Powerball's official website.
For those who missed, the Powerball Numbers (white) drawn on May 13 were 20-21-38-54-66, Mega Ball: 07, Megaplier: 4.
This Saturday, Powerball players can watch the drawing live on this site Powerball-Megamillions on 10:59 p.m. ET, 09:59 p.m. CT, 08:59 p.m. MT and 07:59 p.m. PT.
As noted, the live drawing will have 10 to 20 seconds delay due to the processing of live video streaming.
Powerball is being offered to play in over 44 States in the US, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, as well as the US Virgin Islands. Players basically select five white numbers from numbers 1 to 69 plus one red ball picked from 1 to 26. Each ticket costs $2. Draw sales usually cut off 1 hour before the scheduled draw, but others close much later depending on the State's gaming policy.
The odds of winning the game, according to the Powerball website, are 1 in 292,201,338.00 for the grand prize. Stay tuned for more updates.
