'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6B Premiere Revealed; Showrunner Elaborates On Recent Statement

The synopsis for the Season 6B premiere of ABC Family's hit teen drama TV series "Pretty Little Liars" has finally been dropped and the fans couldn't get more excited to learn what's in store. Meanwhile, the show's boss took to her social media to clarify a statement given.

Cited via the Pretty Little Liars Wikia page, the eleventh episode called "Of Late I Think of Rosewood" will reportedly premiere on Jan. 12, 2016. According to the details provided, the Liars Aria (Lucy Hale), Alison (Sasha Pieterse), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Hanna (Ashley Benson) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) will all reunite in Rosewood after years of living apart from each other.

The summary hinted that something will happen in their beloved town that will force them to go back.

"Torn between their old habits and their new lives, the events in Rosewood compel the Liars to join forces once again, as relationships are put to the test and secrets are revealed," the synopsis reads.

Fans will find the characters already "matured" and are not the same as those whom they've known of previously.

On related news, PLL executive producer I. Marlene King explained a previously given statement about the show's future.

For those who missed it, King recently told Variety that : "I think that this story when we're back will end next year at the at end of Season 7."

When asked further if she really wanted it to end at Season 7 and not go beyond that, King answered, "Correct."

But to the relief of everyone, the showrunner went to her Twitter account to explain that all along, she was referring to Uber A's story and not the show itself.

"What I said was 'This Uber A story that starts on January 12 will end when season 7 ends. I did not say PLL will end. Just sayin 4 real," she wrote in her Twitter post.

For those who missed it, King was talking about the new "big bad" of the season that will reportedly bring torment to the Rosewood girls.

"Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B premieres Jan. 12 at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.
