'Pretty Little Liars' News: Will There Be a Season 8?

Even though the sixth season of "Pretty Little Liars" has yet to conclude, there has already been talks about a potential season 8 for the series.

While fans patiently wait for the return of "Pretty Little Liars" season 6, the show's executive producer, Marlene King, shared some interesting details about the future of the series. With a seventh season already confirmed, it was revealed that the show could take on another season after that, or even a movie.

According to Variety, King explained that they are open to continuing the story, if the fans are willing. She added, "We just try to keep the train moving as fast as possible on the tracks. We haven't slowed down, and we started in the beginning telling the story at a super fast speed and we try to keep up that speed, keep the twists and turns and the 'OMG' moments coming."

This news contradicts the previous reports that the series will surely end by season 7. As reported by E! News, one of the show's stars, Lucy Hale, explained that the show is expected to end by the seventh season.

Nevertheless, fans are still waiting for the upcoming return of the series. The return of "Pretty Little Liars" will present new mysteries and challenges for the girls. Shay Mitchell also shared what it was like filming the new episodes. She stated, "We're coming to work and, for me, every episode feels like a mini movie, in a way. There's that much action in it, there's that much drama, there's that much surprise in it. It's just been really cool to be a part of something that's so exciting."

Season 6 is expected to return with a time jump that will present a more mature version of the girls. "Pretty Little Liars" season 6 will be back to the small screens this Jan. 12.
