Prince Death News: Musician's Vault of Unreleased Music Contains Songs Enough to Cover a Century, Temporary Trustee Says

On Friday, a new report emerged stating that a vault believed to keep Prince's unreleased songs has been drilled open as the fans await what will become of the musician's massive estate.

According to ABC News, Bremer Trust, the company that temporarily exercises authority over the late entertainer's assets, opened the said vault and discovered his trove of music that only Prince knew the entry code to.

In 2012, the iconic singer talked about his hidden treasures on "The View." He told the show, "One day, someone will release them. I don't know that I'll get to release them. There's just so many."

Last week, Prince's only full sibling, Tyka Nelson, filed documents that stated there was no will or trust given out by Prince before he was found unresponsive in his Paisley Park home in Minnesota on April 21. The papers also said Prince's estate should be divided between Nelson and the singer's other half-siblings.

It is unclear if Nelson's claims include the 57-year-old music sensation's vault of numerous tracks that is reported to fill the music world's ears with an album every year in the next century.

Susan Rogers, Prince's former recording engineer, told "Good Morning America" that the song treasury can exceed the work done by other songwriters in a year. "We could put out more work in a month than most people could do in a year or more," she said.

Entertainment attorney Donald David also told People that while there will be some material from Prince's treasure room that may or may not be used, there will still be enough for the next two decades.

Meanwhile, a probate hearing is on the way as fans continue to wait for news regarding the safeguarding of Prince's estate and how the court will decide on the proceedings. According to Mirror, it was recently revealed that his grand-niece Victoria from half-sibling Duane "Casper" Joseph Nelson Jr., who passed away in 2005, is said to be entitled with her part of Prince's estate.

Victoria is under the age of 18 but if the court grants the request to have her in the list of relatives who will get part of the late performer's properties, she will be allotted one-seventh of total shares.
