Prince William's Favorite Bands Revealed

Prince William gave some revealing information to a group of schoolchildren – he told them what bands he enjoyed listening to. The Prince visited a group of children at Goole High School in East Yorkshire, England, to present a new award for the kids.

"I really like Coldplay, Linkin Park," William told the children. "I used to play the piano, trumpet and drums when I was your age but I couldn't read music. There's only so much you can remember from the top of your head."

William has been busy ever since returning from a three-week long tour of Australia and New Zealand with wife Kate and son George. Kate, meanwhile, has been home, preparing their new country home and taking care of George. The couple did, however, visit France to pay tribute to troops on the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings.

Kate and William visited the city and took part in several engagements, including a veteran's tea party. The trip was especially meaningful for Kate, whose grandfather Peter Middleton was a Royal Air Force fighter pilot who flew planes to help divert bombs away from London.

While the younger royals visited Gold Beach, Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles, and the Duchess of Cornwall all attended a commemoration ceremony at Sword Beach in Ouistreham.

Earlier this week, a new portrait of Duchess Kate was revealed by the Scottish artist Tom Sutton-Smith. He used a collaboration of photos to draw inspiration from instead of having a professional sit-down with the Duchess. According to Glenys Andrews, his colleague, the Duke and Duchess were very happy with portrait.

"Wow, it's brilliant!" William supposedly said. "That's going up in my room." And Kate took the portrait in her own arms and stared at it for some time.

Both the Duke and Duchess adored the portrait and were eager to take it home with them, though it's unknown precisely what room the art will hang in.
