'Prison Break' Revival Cast News, Update: Dr. Sara Tancredi Finds Domestic Bliss With This New Character

Over the course of a few months, several updates emerged pointing out to the development of the highly anticipated revival of Fox's hit prison drama TV series "Prison Break."

Arriving this week is the recent casting news from Flickering Myth. According to the media outlet, "Royal Pains" alum Mark Feuerstein has joined the show in a recurring role of a man named Scott Ness, "the formidable husband" of Sarah Wayne Callies' prison doctor, Sara Tancredi. It is yet to be confirmed if Callies will reprise her part which she played since the beginning of the series.

Not much has been revealed about Ness except for the fact that he's a Professor of Economics at Cornell. He is further described as a "rather anxious processor who is dubious of government, but proves he's got significant fight in him when up against it."

Feuerstein essayed the main role of Dr. Henry "Hank" Lawson in the ongoing medical-drama series from USA Network. He also appeared as a guest host in one of the WWE Raw episodes back in 2010 to promote "Royal Pains."

As "Prison Break's" Michael Scofield and Lincoln Burrows, stars Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell have already reportedly signed on the deal to reprise their respective roles.

On January, Fox co-chairman/CEO Dana Walden announced that the network has greenlit a 9-episode event of Paul Scheuring's brainchild.

As revealed by Walden, the upcoming installment will unravel "on an international landscape – it's not a domestic plot."

"We open on a very international contemporary-feeling story," the network executive was quoted as saying by TVLine.

Walden went on to add that the continuation will "address" the events which transpired on the straight-to-DVD epilogue, "The Final Break."

Miller, like Purcell, is currently tied in the latest DC superhero TV series from The CW, "Legends of Tomorrow." The former plays Leonard Snart/Captain Cold while the other portrays Mick Rory/Heat Wave. Coincidentally, their comic book characters are infamous law breakers.
