'Project CARS' Update 8.0 Patch Details Revealed, Addressed Game Issues

Fans of the motorsport racing simulator video game "Project CARS" now have a reason to play the game even more as it has received an update. As reported by Gospel Herald, developer Slightly Mad Studios has brought some improvements to their game with the "Project CARS Update 8.0."

Tom's Hardware detailed that the minor update is actually the last for the game before the retail release of the Oculus Rift as the company has been working internally with version 1.0 of the Oculus SDK. They are bringing lots of changes for the version but Slightly Mad Studios announced that Oculus won't be launching runtime publicly before the shipping of Rift begins on March 28.

As written by Reddit User StephenIRL, "So short term that means that you won't be getting any new features/fixes for Project CARS, but luckily it's only a very short time. As soon as the CV1 goes live, you'll be receiving a game update with a whole bunch of features, fixes, and optimizations."

As for what comes with the update, Operation Sports revealed the complete details of the patch for PC and PS4. It said that the issue found in Cadwell Park is now fixed. Gamers had complained about how the cars would hit the pit wall while on the main straight. This is all changed now and players will no longer need to worry about getting disqualified. The Ruapuna track is also updated, with the pit exit trigger now positioned after the start line trigger.

Improvements for the car models have also been made. The McLaren F1 FTR now has an adjusted cockpit exposure and visual clipping issue is now fixed. The Radical RXC Turbo now displays the engine correctly with V6 and not V8. The asymmetry typo has also been fixed. The same goes for the other vehicles like the typo in the Lotus 51 and Renault Megane RS265, along with the clipping on the roof camera of the KTM X-Bow.

Moreover, the update 8.0 generally addressed the issues for the physics, tires and setups, controllers, GUI, UDP, and Render. Those who will download the update should have 6.594 GB free space available on their hard drive.
