Quarterback Stabbing Arrest at University of Delaware: Suspect, Michael Creed, 25 (VIDEO)
Police have arrested a man whom they believe is guilty of stabbing a 22-year-old University of Delaware quarterback.
Police have identified Michael Creed, 25, as the man responsible for stabbing a University of Delaware student over the weekend. Trevor Sasek, 22, was with a group of friends in a parking lot when Creed called out something, prompting Sasek to approach him.
The two men allegedly argued and Creed pulled out a knife, stabbing Sasek in the chest and abdomen according to Action News, a local ABC affiliate. Sasek is a fifth year senior at the University who plays as a starting quarterback for the team. He was taken to Christine hospital immediately following the incident and is now in stable condition, reports said.

Police were led to Creed after analyzing camera footage captured in surveillance video. In the footage, Creed can be seen yelling at the group of students. The incident occurred at around 1:20 a.m. on Sunday morning. Sasek did not realize he had been stabbed until Creed began to run away from the scene, Action News reported.
Creed was arrested on Monday and charged with first degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon.
University officials failed to name Sasek as the victim in the incident, but confirmed that one of their students had been injured.
"For privacy reasons, we're not confirming the identity of the victim," University of Delaware spokeswoman Andrea Boyle told The Inquirer Monday afternoon. "University officials have been in touch with the injured student and his family, and we wish him a speedy recovery."
Sasek previously attended Spring Ford high school where he played baseball and football. He graduated in 2009 after playing as a starting quarterback for three years. He earned a starting position on his college team in 2011, but suffered a knee injury shortly after.
