Rainbow Mika makes a return to 'Street Fighter V' (VIDEO)

Capcom has just announced video game character Rainbow Mika will be returning in the upcoming "Street Fighter V" roster.

Professional wrestler Rainbow Mika, who first made her debut in 1998's "Street Fighter Alpha 3," will be bringing back her long blonde pigtails, her blue bandage costume, and her pro wrestling skills when she takes centerstage in the upcoming "Street Fighter V."

Capcom announced R. Mika's return for the fifth main installment of its "Street Fighter" franchise, together with the revelation, Mika, real name Mika Nanakawa, will be working with her tag-team partner, Nadeshiko, to perform her special V-Trigger move.

Players employing Mika's V-Trigger abilities will be able to sneak attacks on their opponents, complete with command grab mix-ups to deliver a maximum amount of damage.

As part of her V-Trigger skill set, Mika will whip out her microphone and begin delivering her monologue to the crowd to boost her attack strength. The longer she speaks, the more powerful her attack will be.

With Mika's signature theatrics like the Flying Peach, Rainbow Sobat, Sardine Beach Special, and other close-combat moves, "Street Fighter V" players will find her character a fear-inducing and rewarding champion to play.

Capcom describes Rainbow Mika as an aspiring young wrestler with dreams of dominating the ring. She has since traveled the world and engaged in battle with other street fighters to gain a reputation as a combatant to be reckoned with. Displaying her signature high-flying moves, she is a sneaky, devastating, and colorful fighter.

"Street Fighter V" will feature a total of 16 characters, four of whom will be completely new to the series, when the game makes its debut early next year. Other characters are expected to be added to the game during regular updates, together with scheduled post-launch content.

"Street Fighter V" is due to launch for PC and PlayStation 4 on March 2016.
