'Reign' Season 3 Episode 6 Spoilers: Mary Helps Catherine In Light Of King Francis' Death

Despite the fact that his death has already been foretold, fans of the hit historical fantasy drama TV series "Reign" Season 3 are still reeling over the death of the king of France, King Francis (Toby Regbo), in its latest episode titled "In A Clearing."

It was particularly heartbreaking for Adelaide Kane's character in the series, Mary, who declared to Francis: "I will never love anyone the way I love you." The latter, however, still seeks for the Queen of the Scots' happiness and bids her to open her heart for love once more.

The inevitable has just happened and it appears that even the cast members themselves are sharing the sentiments of the followers. In a report from the International Business Times, a recent social media post from Kane was cited. In the actor's Instagram, she posted a photo of Regbo and captioned it with the following: "The King is dead…Long Live the King."

According to the synopsis provided over at The Futon Critic, Mary will recognize the fact that she needs to help Catherine (Megan Follows) in her goal to become regent of France, despite the likelihood of it causing political unrest with the Scottish people.

The synopsis goes on to say that in another development, Claude (Rose Williams) is now committed to helping Leith (Jonathan Keltz) marry. Meanwhile, the thought of losing Dudley (Charlie Carrick) confuses Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten).

Find out how these events unfold when "Reign" Season 3 airs this Friday, Nov. 20, at 8 p.m. on The CW.
