'Reign' Season 3 Episode 9 Spoilers: Mary Seeks Gideon's Help In Uncovering The Truth; Elizabeth Makes Shocking Discovery
The plot is about to get even more complicated and interesting as the third season of The CW's hit historical fantasy drama TV series "Reign" continues this week with a brand new episode that is slated to see Mary (Adelaide Kane) questioning the true condition of her visitor. Meanwhile, Elizabeth (Rachel Skarsten) will uncover some shocking truths that would eventually alter the history of England.
According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode called "Wedlock," Mary of Scotland will ask Gideon (Ben Geurens) to help her confirm some of her suspicions about Prince Don Carlo's (Mark Ghanime) true condition.
Fans may remember the horrifying events that took place in one of the previous episodes in Season 3 where Mary, with the help of Catherine (Megan Follows) tries to satisfy the Spaniard's weird sexual fantasy. The plan, however, took a turn for the worse when he accidentally tripped and severely injured his head. His envoy mistook the incident as the queen's attempt to assassinate their prince. That was not the case, however.
In another development, the Queen of England will make a "shocking discovery" which, according to the TFC summary, "could change the course of her reign" over the English kingdom. This would force Dudley (Charlie Carrick) to "make a tough decision."
Meanwhile, Claude (Rose Williams) will be having some issues of the heart when Narcisse (Craig Parker) forces her to tie the knot with someone who is not of her liking. Will she give in to Narcisse's demands despite this being against her own wishes?
In related news, fans of the series might need to cross their fingers as the network has yet to announce the fate of the show. The details shared over at TV By The Numbers suggest that the CW series is in a "tossup between renewal and cancellation by May 2016."
For the meantime, "Reign" Season 3 airs this Friday, Jan. 15, at 8 p.m.
