Ronda Rousey Next Fight Rumors: Dana White Unsure if 'Rowdy' Ready by UFC 205; Prized Fighter Spotted Out
The UFC is yet to announce when Ronda Rousey would return to the Octagon after the first loss in her MMA career to Holly Holm in the main event at UFC 193 on November of last year. However, fans of the prized fighter from all over the world have been hopeful to see Rowdy back in action before the year ends.
In fact, UFC President Dana White was one of those who is looking forward to the 29-year-old's next fight. For the past few months, he was quite presumptive that it would likely to happen by November or December. As of late, White may have begun to doubt that Rousey's name will be included in the UFC 205 which will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York this Nov. 12.
"She has as much time off as she wants or needs. Obviously, I would love her to come back sooner than later so we'll see how that plays out but it wouldn't be a bad thing to roll into New York with Ronda but I just don't know if she's going to be ready," the President of the Ultimate Fighting Championship said during an interview with ESPN.
Rousey suffered a big loss in her sixth title defense against Holm. Her deadly grappling techniques proved ineffective in taking down the latter. Holm, instead, dominated the fight with her superior striking skills. It was in the round 2, the first time that a Rousey fight went beyond round 1, when the defender got knocked out by a kick to the neck by Holm.
In related news, the Daily Mail shared a photo of the former UFC Bantamweight champion appearing all smiles as she headed out to grab some lunch earlier this week.
According to the media outlet, the sports superstar emerged with her main coach Edmond Tarverdyan after a three-hour training session at the Glendale Fighting Club in California. Stay tuned for more updates.
