Rumored Moto X (2016) Spotted at Benchmark Site, Listed with Snapdragon 820, 4 GB of RAM
Lenovo-owned Motorola is said to be working on a new flagship device. However, there are no official details yet regarding on what it would be. That doesn't stop fans from getting information though as reports say that the purported Moto X (2016) edition has been spotted in benchmark website. According to a report by Tech Radar, a GeekBench listing showed a Motorola XT1650.
It doesn't specifically indicate that it is the Moto X (2016) but it seems likely considering the flagship specs listed. As detailed in International Business Times, the device is alleged to carry a Snapdragon 820 chip featuring a quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.59GHz. For its RAM count, it is said to be paired with 4 GB of RAM. It's also indicated in the listing that the handset will be running with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system.
Know Your Mobile also noted that in the released database, the purported Moto X (2016) came with a result of a single-core score of 2,309 and a multi-core score of 5,344 with its Qualcomm hardware. This makes the handset a strong one, on a level similar to the LG G5 and ahead of the HTC 10.

There is no information yet regarding the camera specs but other leaks suggest that the forthcoming handset will be featuring a fingerprint scanner and metal body design. Gadgets 360 mentioned that it is still to be known if the scanner will be a standalone sensor or if it will be integrated into the home button. Some leaks also claim that the device will have a USB Type-C port.
Lenovo is expected to hold an event on June 9. There is no confirmation but there's a possibility that the device could be launched alongside other models that the company is planning to release soon. Fans will have to stay tuned for further details.
