Samsung Galaxy Nexus Release Date: Sprint Next to Carry Smartphone?
An inventory leak has revealed that Sprint may be the next network to carry the Samsung Galaxy Nexus.
An inventory form has surfaced detailing that Sprint has ordered advertising posters for the "Nexus Prime;" that is the most common internal alias for the Galaxy Nexus.
Industry experts projected that the Sprint network would not be carrying the Galaxy Nexus due to its WiMAX, 4G network being vastly different from the LTE and HSPA+ networks for which the smartphone will be compatible.

At the Oct. 19 unveiling of the Galaxy Nexus and its operating system Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, Samsung and Google announced that the Verizon network would be the exclusive carrier of the Galaxy Nexus.
However, at Samsung's homepage for the Galaxy Nexus, a sign up form for more information on the smartphone lists seven different networks under carrier preference.
Experts suggest that Samsung is using the form to gauge consumers' carrier preferences in order to decide which other networks should carry the smartphone.
Many have compared the Galaxy Nexus to the Google Nexus S that was not expected to be on the Sprint network when it was released in December 2010.
The smartphone, original powered by AT&T and T-Mobile was eventually introduced to the Sprint network in May 2011.
Experts have also noted that the Samsung Galaxy S2 has a Sprint network variant that goes by the name Epic 4G Touch. It was the first U.S. version to release in September. AT&T and T-Mobile versions released in October.
If previous releases are any indication, customers may be able to expect the Galaxy Nexus releasing on the Sprint, AT&T and T-Mobile networks as well as Verizon.
