The Samsung Galaxy S7 may be launched at a price cheaper than that of the Galaxy S6, recent rumors say.
Consumers wanting to buy Samsung's next flagship smartphone will surely be delighted with new rumors saying the Galaxy S7 may carry a lower price tag than its predecessor. China-based electronics supply chain expert Pan Jiutang said Samsung is considering bringing down the S7's price by 10 percent, according to a Times of India report cited by Gizmodo India.
If the price drop rumor proves to be true, the said development could present a greater advantage for Samsung over its main rivals Apple, Sony, HTC, and others. Right now, the South Korean tech giant is facing tough competition from Lenovo, Xiaomi, and other smartphone makers that offer devices with premium specs at a lower price, the report details.

Rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy S7 will be released by the first quarter of 2016, although this has not yet been confirmed. There are some reports saying the new flagship device will be launched by January, but there are also others pointing to February as the official release month, Christian Today reports.
The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge will reportedly come with the 3D Touch feature seen in the latest Apple handsets. In addition, the device will run on either a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor or an Exynos 8890 chip. It will also boast of a 12-megapixel rear snapper and faster LET connectivity, the report relays.
Moreover, reports say the Samsung Galaxy S7 will sport a magnesium alloy casing when it is launched. It is also believed to come pre-installed with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow mobile operating system, but Samsung has yet to confirm all these rumors.
