Samsung Galaxy View Rumors: Leaked Info Reveals New Tablet Has 18.4-Inch Display

Samsung is set to launch its new oversized tablet called the Galaxy View soon and there are already a few leaked details about the device.

During this year's Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin (IFA) event, the South Korean tech giant announced that it is making an oversized tablet, and now rumor has it that the Samsung Galaxy View will be launched in October. Based on leaked information from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the new device has a display measuring 18.4 inches, according to HNGN.

The FCC data also reportedly indicates that the Samsung Galaxy View will have support for all AT&Ts LTE bands, the report adds.

Now, leaked photos of the Galaxy View have recently made their rounds on the Internet and some of the photos were posted by SamMobile. The said photos are rumored to be screengrabs from a promotional video for the gigantic tablet.

In the still images, a very large 18.4-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels can be seen. The photo also shows a kickstand poking out from behind the device. In addition, the rear part of the device sports a handle that appears to be used to shift the humonguous device around, Yahoo! reports.

Some of the rumored specs of the Samsung Galaxy View include a 1.6 Hz 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7580 chip. The device will also reportedly have 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It also includes a 2.1-megapixel front snapper, 8-megapixel rear snapper, and a 5,700 mAh battery.

It is worth noting that the leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy View do not show a physical Home button on the device. But the software buttons are visible on the display in some of the still shots.

Should the rumors about the Samsung Galaxy View prove to be true, then the device may be marketed as a portable smart TV that consumers can use to watch movies or play games anywhere they want.
