However, Pope was left stunned at the allegations being fired at Jeannine, and she doesn't want her being set up to take the fall for her own scandal.

A new clip video has been released for Scandal season 3, episode 2, showing a sneak peak into this week's episode. In the clip Olivia addresses the press and denies that Jeannine was ever romantically involved with the President. Olivia also accuses the White House of slander.

Last week's premiere episode opened the new season to record ratings, and the show has quickly become ABC's top drama.

The synopsis for this week's episode says that viewers will find out "through flashbacks…more about Olivia's estranged relationship with her father."

"Meanwhile, both the White House and Pope & Associates are still in the middle of cleaning up the very big and very public mess they created," the synopsis reads.
