'Scandal' Season 5 Episode 16 Spoilers: Olivia Is Determined to Bring Susan Ross Down
ABC's hit political drama TV series "Scandal" Season 5 airs this week with a brand new episode that will feature some of the intense developments in the Presidential race.
Spoiler alert for those who missed "Pencil's Down," a person from Olivia Pope's past resurfaced. Edison Davis, Liv's former lover, has officially become a candidate for the presidency under the Democratic party. Even more surprising was the fact that the man is being endorsed by her father, Rowan, and Jake.
Regardless of these distractions, Liv will make sure that her candidate, Mellie Grant, will come on top of the race. In fact, one of her strategies is to thin out the herd and the first person she hopes to boot out is Susan Ross.
According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the aptly titled episode "The Miseducation of Susan Ross," Liv will enlist her Gladiators to verify the authenticity of this "damaging information" she has heard about Ross.
In the last episode, Alex, Frankie's brother slipped information to Liv who, upon reading the file, was caught aghast with what she had learned.
In a promo clip for Episode 16, Quinn appears to be quite excited to unveil the truth to the team that Susan, "is not only a liar but a thief! Unfit to be president."
It seems like Susan may have heard about her secrets getting leaked out. Perhaps Liv personally delivered the message to her that she better pack up and quit the race or else her skeletons in the closet will be exposed. However, the Vice President is unfazed with the threats.
"You have no idea what I'm capable of," she can be heard saying in the clip.
The rest of the TFC summary meanwhile said that David will face the consequences of his complicated dating life while Cyrus continues to work on his own political agenda.
"Scandal" season 5 Episode 16 "The Miseducation of Susan Ross" premieres this Thursday, Mar. 31, at 9 p.m. on ABC.
