'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers: Fitz Gets Cozy With a Reporter
"Scandal" season 5's upcoming episode will give fans a good dose of drama as Fitz busies himself with his new interest and Cyrus plans out his next big step.
In the previous episode of "Scandal" season 5, Olivia (Kerry Washington) teamed up with Mellie (Bellamy Young) to help the former First Lady prepare for the elections. Fitz (Tony Goldwyn), on the other hand, has been busy flirting with a reporter, while Cyrus (Jeff Perry) stepped down from his position as Chief of Staff, the International Business Times reports.
The upcoming episode titled "Wild Card" will see Fitz becoming busy with the reporter and Abby (Darby Stanchfield) will be stressed out with this affair. However, Cyrus is not as concerned with Fitz's other interests because he will be preoccupied with something else.
Based on the synopsis and the promo for the next episode, Cyrus will focus on the campaign for the Governor of Pennsylvania. It remains to be seen in "Scandal" season 5 episode 12 if the Governor of Pennsylvania also wants to work with him, the report relays.
Liz, who is using David (Josh Malina) to concoct and implement her own grand plan, will be walking a thin line even though she is already ahead of Cyrus in supporting a presidentiable. David might not know that Liz is just manipulating him, or he may just be as eager to gain control of the White House as she is, the report speculates.
Meanwhile, Olivia will still be doubtful of Jake's (Scott Foley) intentions and plans as the new NSA chief. She wants to know what Jake will do now that he has a new position, Carter Matt reports.
There is a possibility that Jake would do something that will make him butt heads with the other characters. Fans will have to stay tuned to find out what will happen next.
"Scandal" season 5 episode 12 titled "Wild Card" airs on Thursday, Feb. 25 at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
