Things are about to get even more intense as the winter finale for the fifth season of ABC's hit political drama TV series "Scandal" airs this week. As suggested by the slew of spoiler reports, fans better brace themselves for what might happen to Eli Pope at Huck's hands. Meanwhile, Olivia struggles to adjust to her new life at the White House.
Citing the preview provided over at PennLive.com for the episode titled "Baby, It's Cold Outside," it appears that Papa Pope won't be faltered with his current circumstance. What he can't do with his hands, he does with his mouth. In the promo shared by the website, Eli brings up the issue surrounding Huck's family, which includes his son Javi, and wife, Kim.
"Have you seen Javi recently? No? Do you think he misses you? Or do you think he's happier now that he knows that his insane shell of a human father is out of the picture again?" Mr. Pope said with a tone full of mockery and contempt.

His companion in the room remained still, not minding what the captive is saying. But as Eli babbles on with more insults about how promiscuous Huck's wife is, the latter stood up to grab the old man's throat. Rowan appears to be pleased by it. He even urged Huck to "do it."
Needless to say, this storyline is expected to end in a cliffhanger as the show takes the winter break. It can be assumed that Eli's fate won't be revealed in the show's upcoming airing. But perhaps fans would be able to know who is behind Eli's abduction.
In another development, followers of the series will see Liv adjusting to her new life as President Fitz's new love. Mellie, on the other hand, will prove to herself and the public just how powerful she can be.
