The Presidential race will continue for "Scandal" Season 6. Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Frankie (Ricardo Chavira) are fighting for the seat, while Cyrus (Jeff Perry) is said to cheat so Frankie could win.

Cyrus has been known as a scammer and he will do anything to let Frankie win. Millie will be having a hard time bringing Frankie down because of Cyrus.

In the previous season, Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn) resigned from the presidency which paved the way for Millie and Frankie's fight for presidency. The vice-presidency, on the other hand, will be fought over by Jake Ballard (Scott Foley) and Cyrus.

The people will be divided on who they want to win the election. It's either they go for the Republican camp of Mellie and Jake, or the Democratic team of Frankie and Cyrus. There are also speculations that Jake will eventually run away with Olivia (Kerry Washington) to pursue a peaceful life.

Olivia's Fate

Executive producer Shonda Rhimes shared in a report that Olivia might end up with either Fitz or Jake in the season 6 finale. She added that Olivia's fate has yet to be finalized. She further stated that Kerry Washington's role does not actually need a man. She never had to be emotionally available to a man. She also concluded that the role does not have to be someone who does certain things when in a relationship.

"Scandal" Season 6 will not be showing any campaign periods for the election since it will kick off right away during the voting day.

The course of the story will depend on the announced winners. There will be more challenges waiting for the stars. A lot of twists will come in as the story evolves. Each character will also reveal his or her secrets.

It will also be a difficult path for whoever wins the election since there may be a lot of controversy along the way.

The show's premiere date has been delayed to spring of 2017. There are many reasons from ABC Network on why the show's release date has been pushed back. One of the main reasons is Kerry Washington's pregnancy.
