'Scorpion' Season 2 Episode 16 Spoilers: Walter & Co. Rush To Fix A Broken Gas Pipe

CBS' hit action drama TV series "Scorpion" Season 2 returns this week with a brand new episode that will see Walter (Elyes Gabel) and his squad of geniuses rushing to seal a leaking gas line before an unwarranted accident takes place. Meanwhile, fans are in for some hilarious moments as spoiler reports indicate that two of Team Scorpion's members will be sent for some counseling sessions.

According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the episode called "Fractured," Los Angeles will be hit by a powerful earthquake. The whole city will be in disarray and even after the tremors died down, the citizens are still in great danger.

As further detailed, the natural calamity had caused a leak at a gas line running underground. It's only a matter of time before anything combustible could ignite the flowing flammable material and make L.A. a hell here on earth. The situation will prompt the geniuses of Team Scorpion to come up with a plan to prevent the imminent massive explosion. This is on top of the problem of how to rescue the people who are trapped at the epicenter of the disaster.

The promo video for the segment showed Sylvester (Ari Stidham) with Paige (Katharine McPhee) running for their lives. The math whiz declared "there's an earthquake" and it appears like the occurrence is being felt all over the city.

Scenes further revealed the dire circumstances that everyone is in.

"This is bad as it gets!" a distressed Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) said.

The episode, however, won't just be about the characters running towards danger. A sneak peek did tease that the members will be facing some domestic issues that need to be resolved.

The clip particularly points out a feud between Toby and Walter. But the rift won't be about who's got the correct opinion. The two are bickering over a coffee creamer.

To settle the quarrel which is already driving everyone insane, Paige sentenced the two boys to go in for counseling sessions. This obviously warrants disapproval from the duo but the whole gang insists.

Find out how these events unfold when "Scorpion" Season 2 airs Monday, Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
