'Scorpion' Season 2 Spoilers News: Team Intercepts Drug Smuggling Activity; When Will 'Waige' Happen?

CBS' hit crime fighting drama TV series "Scorpion" Season 2 returns this week with a new and exciting episode that will find the team of geniuses shooting down a drug smuggling syndicate which uses a hi-tech means of delivery service. Meanwhile, when will fans be able to see Walter (Elyes Gabel) and Paige (Katharine McPhee) finally making it official?

According to the synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic for the episode titled "Adaptation," Team Scorpion will be called into action when they catch wind of reports indicating a huge influx of drugs trying to get into the country. What makes the case interesting is that the smuggling doesn't take place on the road or on water. Rather, the illegal substances are being shipped via drones.

The FBI was certainly correct to employ the expertise of these tech wizards whose credits include thwarting a nuclear attack, just to name a few.

It is assumed that Walter and Co. will hack their way into the enemy's control base. From there, they can then take the reins of these flying objects and divert them off their original waypoint.

Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly recently caught up with series star Eddie Kaye Thomas and got him to talk about the relationship going on inside the group.

Citing the statement from the actor who plays the behavioral psychologist in the show, Toby, it appears that fans won't have to wait that long to find Walter and Paige wrapped in each other's arms. And the factor that would push them to do it is actually his character's relationship with Happy (Jadyn Wong).

"I think it puts a lot of pressure on [Walter]," Thomas told EW.

"I imagine it's like an awkward double date where one couple can't stop making out and they're all over each other, and the other couple likes each other, but no one has made the first move yet," he further explained.

According to him, this situation will eventually "heat under Walter a little bit." Regardless of which, it's quite obvious among viewers and even among the cast themselves, that there's really something between Walter and Paige. It's only a matter of time before this relationship will go full swing.

"Scorpion" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. on CBS.
