Selfie Phone Oppo F1 Launched; Specs Include 13MP Camera, 3 GB RAM, Snapdragon 616
Good news for all Oppo fans. The Chinese electronics manufacturer that brought the rotating camera module Mad N3 has finally officially launched their first device for the F series. Dubbed as the F1, the device is the company's new camera-focused smartphone.
According to Gadgets 360, those who are interested in purchasing the handset can already do so as it is already available for pre-orders via a third-party retailer website. It is also now officially up for pre-orders in Europe with a price tag of EUR 229 (Rs. 16,800 or $249). It's also noted that Oppo included a freebie upon purchase. The device will come with an Oppo selfie stick, which is perfect since the device is made for selfie lovers.
As detailed in Digital Trends, Oppo focused on making the selfie cam an excellent one since research reveals that the front camera is more often used than the rear camera. With that, they equipped the F1 with an 8-megapixel front camera. It comes with an f/2.0 aperture (1/4-inch sensor) and software features like Beautify 3.0, 8 live color filters and more. It also has three different settings, which ranges from natural to Kim Kardashian. The display can also be used as the flash in low-light environments.

Meanwhile, at the back, the device is equipped with a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture and single LED flash. It is said that the rear camera is made by Samsung. However, the camera does not have an optical image stabilization feature since Oppo has its own form of digital stabilization.
Moreover, the device features a 5-inch HD IPS display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It is covered with a 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood, one will find a Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 chipset clocked at 1.7GHz. It comes along with 3 GB LPDDR3 RAM, Adreno 405 GPU and Android 5.1 Lollipop.
It has a 16 GB built-in storage and 2500 mAh battery. The handset is covered with a full-metallic body frame, giving it a premium feel and design. Oppo will release the F1 by the end of January.
