'Shark Tank' Season 8 Spoilers, Release Date and Updates: Chris Sacca to Return; New Entreps as Sharks and More

The sharks continue to circle.

Critically-acclaimed reality TV series "Shark Tank"remains one of the top favorite reality shows on ABC, as it sets on to become a culturally-defining series for America's fascination and interest in entrepreneurship.

Given its favorable ratings, especially across the states of Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, and Texas, it comes as no surprise that the series was renewed for an upcoming eighth season. "Shark Tank" will premiere on September 23 this year.

So what can we expect from the tough, self-made multimillionaires this season? Will they invest or will they reject more pitches from prospective entrepreneurs?

Chris Sacca's recurring guest role

Lowercase Capital investor Chris Sacca has appeared as a guest Shark four times, and even in that limited span of time, emerged as a series favorite because of his candor and willingness to tough it out with regular Sharks, including Mark Cuban and Daymond John.

In a lengthy blog post, he confirmed that he will be back in Season 8 as a recurring guest Shark, and teased that he will be doing a "bunch more" than his previous appearances. So five, at the very least?

In the same blog post, he lamented that, due to air time constraints, pitches are severely cut down to a mere seven or eight minutes. Pitches are usually an hour long to be more comprehensive and persuasive enough for the Sharks to invest.

He suggested for the show to perhaps air a full, unedited business pitch, so that avid viewers can see the process from beginning to end. (A valiant show pitch, much like how the contestants pitch their businesses!) No word out yet from the show's runners, but hopefully they'll give their thumbs up.

One full episode for veteran entreps for Season 8

Casting Associate Caren Sachs posted on LinkedIn that the show was looking for veteran entrepreneurs to appear in at least one episode. Interested applicants may go to their website or contact her directly.

Daymond John's sartorial choices

Like a true businessman, regular Shark panelist Daymond John has found meaning in his attires. He says that he has decided to let his salt-and-pepper hair grow out for Season 8, despite several comments that it will only make him look older.

He has since espoused a powerful mantra: to let his appearance reinforce who he is and not merely what people want to believe him to be. Looks like they're really taking the show to heart! Excited for the show's premiere? Catch it on the 23rd of September on ABC.
