'Sherlock' Season 3 Spoilers: New Bad Guy 'Preys on the Weak'

This Sunday PBS hit show "Sherlock" will take a dark twist, as a new villain is introduce for Sherlock to battle with. For spoilers from executive producer Sue Vertue, read on.

Vertue recently told TV Guide about just how evil this new villain, Charles Augustus Magnussen, will be. It appears that this villain will bring out things in Sherlock we have not seen before.

"Charles Augustus Magnussen is the one villain that Sherlock Holmes truly hates. He never hated Moriarty actually. They sort of admired each other. They have the same kind of brains. Whereas Magnussen is just calculated. He really hates Magnussen," she said to TV Guide.

Further describing Magnussen, Vertue said, he "preys on the weak. He's a blackmailer. He's just not nice."
The executive producer insists that Magnussen is more evil than Moriarty was. She explains, "Moriarty was mad, but not cruel in a way."

Charles Augustus Magnussen will be played by actor Lars Mikkelsen. The new villain makes his debut this Sunday.

In other "Sherlock" news, co-creators Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss spoke about how they had already planned out seasons 4 and 5 of "Sherlock," which is currently slated to premiere its third season in January, according to Radio Times.

"Rather excitingly, Mark and I, for no particular reason, we just got out of the rain and sat at the top of the [Sherlock] production bus ... and we just started plotting out what we could do in the future. And we plotted out the whole of series four and five," Moffat said.
