Sherlock Location Hopping Throughout the UK
The shoot for "Sherlock" Season 4 has hopped from one place to another. The early-morning or late-filming sessions were done in locations like London, Wales and Cardiff. Cumberbatch was recently spotted doing a scene at the Hungerford Bridge in London.
According to series creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat, the shooting of the new series has always led them to Baker Street, where they both feel entirely at home while capturing scenes.
"Ghosts of the past are rising in the lives of Sherlock Holmes and John Watson bringing adventure, romance and terror in their wake," a statement from the creators read.
Something Big Awaits Holmes in Season 4
Moffat and Gatiss added that they will eventually reveal in "Sherlock" Season 4 the story they have been trying to convey since the series started. They also advised fans that the story will soon reach its climax.
The first episode of "Sherlock" Season 4, according to CultBox, will take Holmes back to his native land. Meanwhile, Doctor Watson and his wife Mary need to make some adjustments since they will be parents for the first time. Moffat explained that there will be more emotions in the story, but the production team will still make it a point to make the show fun for its audience.
Who's the New Villain?
Earlier, it was revealed that Toby Jones will play villain Culverton Smith for "Sherlock" Season 4. The character first appeared in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's short story entitled "The Adventure of the Dying Detective." It was released in 1913. Jones's character is said to be "frail, small and twisted,"a perfect mix of the actor's forte in other roles he previously played.
With this new character in the series, Moffat said he is certain that Jones will give justice to his villain rile. The creator said he is positive the actor will "embrace" his part in "Sherlock" Season 4.
