'Sleepy Hollow' Season 3 News: Showrunner Teases Mid-Season To Explain Papa Mills' Side Of Story
The mid-season return of Fox's hit supernatural drama TV series "Sleepy Hollow" is now just around the corner and fans have been hankering for details. According to the show's executives, the second part of Season 3 will perhaps shed light on why Ezra Mills left his family. Meanwhile, details for Episode 9 hinted Crane making an alliance with an unlikely person.
According to TVLine, Season 3B will try to explain the side of Papa Mills as to why he abandoned his family when Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) were still small.
"There was a picture painted of him early on that was the guy who ran off, who couldn't deal, and who fled. It's very nice to find that that's not necessarily true, and the part of it that is true is much more realized in the back half [of the season]," executive producer Clifton Campbell told the media outlet.
Co-EP Albert Kim chimed in to say that the show will eventually come to the part where it will touch on the issue about the Mills family. According to Kim, "he's been a figure for both Abbie and Jenny for most of their lives" but there's a great deal "missing from his perspective."
It is yet unknown if the character in question will be present for the funeral of Abbie who had vanished before the show closed shop for the holidays.
One thing is for sure though, according to Kim, Ezra's mysterious past will play a big part for the development of Abbie and Jenny's story.
Meanwhile, the synopsis for the midseason premiere titled "One Life" was shared over at The Futon Critic and it says that Crane (Tom Mison) and Jenny will be feeling great loss following what Abbie did for everyone. The events, however, won't sit well with Crane who will reportedly form a partnership with an unlikely person while Jenny will set out to confront an old enemy.
"Sleepy Hollow" Season 3 winter premiere airs Friday, Feb. 5 at 8 p.m. EST on Fox.
