'Sons of Anarchy' Season 7 Spoilers: Courtney Love Lands 'Pivotal' Role

"Sons of Anarchy" fans can look forward to meeting yet another new character in the seventh and final season this fall.

FX already announced that Annabeth Gish is joining the hit series, but new reports Tuesday revealed that rock-n-roll star Courtney Love will be making her television debut on "SOA" this year. The singer, who is Kurt Cobain's widow, will portray Ms. Harrison -- a straight-shooting preschool teacher who takes a special interest in Jax's eldest son, Abel, according to TVLine. Love will first appear in episode four of season seven, which kicks off Sept. 10.

Although Love has not pursued her acting career recently, the singer has appeared in films such as 1996's "The People vs. Larry Flynt" as well as roles in the Andy Kaufman biopic "Man on the Moon" and Kiefer Sutherland's "Beat."

Additional spoilers reveal that Ms. Harrison's interest in Jax may create tension with Abel's mother, Wendy. Actress Drea de Matteo, who portrays Wendy, was just promoted to a series regular for the final season of "SOA."

Meanwhile, Love is the latest addition to the "SOA" season seven cast with a musical background. The FX drama previously announced a guest appearance by Marilyn Manson who will portray a prison power player who has dealings with Jax.

Also, as previously reported, "The Bridge" star Gish will make her debut on "SOA" this fall as well. The actress will play Althea Jarry, the smart and edgy new sheriff in the fictional town of Charming on the FX drama. Jarry will be looking into the murders of both Sheriff Eli Roosevelt and Tara Knowles when she quickly realized she must collaborate with SAMCRO, TVLine reported.

Season seven will also see more of actor Walter Goggins who portrays Venus, a transgendered character.

"I am very happy to report that in season 7 of SOA, THERE WILL BE SOME MUTHA---IN' VENUS," series creator Kurt Sutter posted to Twitter on Wednesday, July 2.
