Sony Celebrates PlayStation VR Anniversary By Announcing Over 60 Games
Sony is definitely banking on virtual reality with the PlayStation VR as they announce over 60 games for the platform. This coincides with the device's first anniversary which is being celebrated by slashing prices for a limited time.
In a recent post on the official PlayStation blog, Sony showed off a slew of over 60 titles coming later this year and into 2018. The games include Sony's own "Gran Turismo Sport" as well as titles from notable third-party developers such as Supergiant's "Bravo Team," Bethesda's "Skyrim" VR, and "Doom" VR.
"Moss," an action-adventure puzzle game featured during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo will also be making its way to the PlayStation VR. The game features a mouse named Quill on a quest to save her uncle.

Come 2018, the platform exclusive game "Golem" as well Samurai Punk Pty's "The American Dream" will be making their debut on the PlayStation VR. They will be joined by Penn and Teller's famous Desert Bus as part of "Penn & Teller VR: Frankly Unfair, Unkind, Unnecessary and Underhanded."
In addition to the large selection of games in the coming months, Sony is also offering the VR headset at a discount. Gamers can avail of the limited-time deal at Target for PSVR headset on its own from $300 down to $225 before tax. The deal is as cheap as it gets and is certainly appealing especially for those who already own a PlayStation 4 camera.
For those who don't have the required peripheral, the PS4 camera is available for about $45 at Target or Amazon. That amounts to a combined cost of $270 which is still a far cry from the $400 price of the official PSVR and camera bundle.
With these awesome deals and announcements, it's probably safe to say that Sony is intent on cashing on VR before Microsoft finally gets their own device out. But after the release of the Xbox One X, that might not happen for at least half a year.
