Sony Xperia Z3 Review: Specs Summary - Good Looks, Features But Occasional Bugs

Sony is looking to impress with the style, performance and specs of its latest Xperia flagship phone, the Xperia Z3.

Sony is proving that their Xperia smartphones are still a worthwhile purchase for interested consumers and gadget enthusiasts as they plug the Xperia Z3 with some of the best features they can provide.

The Xperia Z3 has a slim profile, curved metal edges that make it easier to hold and an1080p IPS display that comes with the X-Reality Engine and the Triluminos Technology. Not only that, but with an 886 white cd/m2 at 100 percent brightness, the Zperia Z3 also has the highest brightness of any recent smartphone, while its Live Color LEDs ensures that using the phone doesn't drain too much of its battery.

As for the battery power, it already comes at 3,100 mAh but further testing has proven that it can last up to 48 hours, far longer than any other smartphone. The Stamina Mode setting can extend that at much longer hours, while the Ultra Stamina Mode limits functions even more for longer use.

When it comes to the camera, the device boasts a 20.1 megapixel rear camera that comes with a 25 mm wide angle G-lens technology, a two stage shutter key and can even work in low light conditions. When it comes to the audio, music lovers might enjoy the front-facing speakers and the High Resolution Digital Sound Enhancement Engine that upgrades the phone's audio quality.

However, as with any piece of tech, the Xperia Z3 is not without its flaws. Some of the units are experiencing problems with the camera, touch screen and more. Android Authority has compiled a shortlist of a quick-fix for some of the easier and more common problems to help users along.

Some of the problems users are faced with are the unresponsive touch screen, a red or pink circle appearing on their photographs, lagging performance of the phone when it comes to games and videos, slow charging and quick battery drain or problems with WiFi connectivity.

Occasionally a factory reset is helpful to repair any bugs so users will need to back up important data. Sometimes it's a problem with the firmware or occasionally users simply need to update their phone's software, adjust the settings or even the standard quick fix of restarting one's phone to hopefully get the Xperia Z3 back on track.
