The meeting also added new innovations to the coffee giant's line of business as it was revealed that a pod will be opened in Europe. While this may be something of little importance to Europeans at first, details from the meeting state that the new pod will be made compatible with Nespresso machines.

Meanwhile, Schultz took the opportunity to address Christmas 2015's red cup controversy that angered conservatives around the globe. According to The Eater, the chief pulled out a red cup while the audience cheered before he said, "It's amazing. I pull out a red cup and you know what I'm going to say. It's just a red cup."

During the holidays, the red cup made headlines all around the internet and television as some conservatives suggested that the bright red cup signaled the company's support for war. Starbucks denied the allegations.

As for another issue that angered a lot of customers as it tackled the topic of rewards, Schultz declared that a new rewards program will be offered soon. A reloadable prepaid card obtained with the Chase Bank will allow customers to earn Stars "for all card purchases made virtually anywhere that Visa is accepted."

While the prepaid card won't come until the end of 2016, the new program, which was not detailed by Schultz yet, will be launched in mid-April for customers to enjoy.
