'Street Fighter V' News: Team Versus Mode Detailed Further, Another Addition Included in 'Arcade Edition'
Teams involved in Team Versus mode can feature up to five players each
Several notable additions have already been confirmed to be included in the "Arcade Edition" of "Street Fighter V." And recently, one more significant item was unveiled.
The new feature in question is Team Versus mode, and this one allows players to band together and see which squad is better.
Detailed further in a recent post on the Capcom Unity blog, teams participating in Team Versus mode can have up to five players. It does not always have to be five, but the two participating teams do have to feature the same number of fighters.

There are two types of Team Versus matches.
The first one is the Best of Series. Here, players from opposing sides will square off until one team manages to claim the majority of available victories. Best of Series matches can also end in ties, but only if the teams involved are made up of either just two or four players.
The second Team Versus mode match type is Elimination. Elimination matches allow winning team members to continue fighting until they are either eliminated or the opposing side has been wiped out.
Ahead of a Team Versus mode match, "Street Fighter V" players can adjust various settings including the number of rounds, round times, vitality recovery and EX-Gauge retention. For Elimination matches, players will be able to fiddle around with a V-Gauge advantage option, while for Best of Series bouts, players can opt to either activate or deactivate Throwaway Matches.
If players are going up against CPU-controlled characters, they can choose the difficulty level.
Players will also be asked to select which V-Trigger they want to use ahead of each battle.
Other notable additions coming to the fighting game via the "Arcade Edition" update are Arcade mode, Extra Battle mode, the Gallery and a redesigned user interface.
The "Arcade Edition" update is due out for "Street Fighter V" on Jan. 16.
