'Suits' Season 5 Spoilers: Mike Ross Arrested For Impersonation; Series Creator Shares Mid-Season Details

In just a few days, the second-half of USA Network's hit drama TV series "Suits" Season 5 will air to reveal the fate that awaits Patrick J. Adam's Mike Ross.

According to the spoiler report from Carter Matt for the episode titled "Blowback," Ross' arrest for impersonating a real attorney on top of his fraud case will put the future of Pearson Specter Litt in jeopardy.

Fans are likely to be sympathetic towards Ross and the partnership but they know very well that the bogus Harvard graduate is guilty of the accusation. On the imminent event that the law will prevail, could this be the end of Mike's fake legal career? If so, how will this affect Harvey (Gabriel Macht) and his associates?

The synopsis, which was also shared by the media outlet, reads:

"Jessica [Gina Torres] and Harvey must figure out how to build a defense for Mike, knowing full well that he's guilty of the crime for which he stands accused."

In his interview with Yahoo TV last year, show creator Aaron Korsh revealed that the show did plan to have a time jump after Ross' arrest. However, they opted not to and retain the "standard practice of moments later."

"Mike is on the hot seat, so is everybody else in the back six," Korsh told the website in September. "I feel like this is a course-change for Suits. We'd been dancing around this thing forever."

Character-wise, the upcoming mid-season premiere will give fans a much deeper glimpse of this man who happens to have a photographic memory and made his life through it.

"I think this episode is very, very important for Mike because it really gives you some insight into the damage that has been done to him," Korsh added.

Fans should also expect a new character who will be driving the final nail to Mike's coffin. A recent promo video for the episode revealed Leslie Hope's "ruthless" government prosecutor Anita Gibbs. The latter tells the accused that she will be the one to put him in jail while the scenes show Ross getting booked.

Find out how these things unfold when "Suits" Season 5 Episode 11 "Blowback" airs Wednesday, Jan. 27 at 10 p.m. EST on USA Network.
