'Super Mario Maker' Wii U Glitch Allows Yoshi to Eat Impenetrable Blocks
A "Super Mario Maker" for Wii U glitch has been spotted last week and it involves Yoshi's ability to remove impenetrable items from a game level.
On Oct. 30, a report came up saying a glitch on "Super Mario Maker" for Wii U allows Yoshi to swallow concrete blocks if a player happens to place a coin under certain items. YouTube user 360Chrism was airing a live demonstration of the video game when the bug was spotted, according to Design & Trend.
The "Super Mario Maker" glitch can be triggered by positioning coins directly below the blocks intended for Yoshi. When Yoshi jumps on solid ground and sticks his tongue out to eat the block, it will be smoothly swallowed, the report explains.

Based on the report, the "Super Mario Maker" for Wii U glitch happened at the 15-second marker of the demo video. Yoshi is seen sucking up a concrete block when normally the character's tongue should only pass through it. But in that level, the concrete block totally disappeared, Realty Today reports.
The concrete blocks seen in 360Chrism's video demonstration are only one of the impenetrable items in "Super Mario Maker." The items can only be broken and removed with the use of a Spiny Shell Helmet, and this is only possible if the creator provides a series of items that will allow the player to break the blocks, the report relays.
Reddit user stendec365 said he made a level to specifically test if the reported "Super Mario Maker" for Wii U glitch exists. He said he was able to duplicate a coin and eat the block above that coin. Based on the gamer's test, the blocks that were successfully eaten include the Rotating Block, Hidden Question Block, Question Block, Hard Block, Donut Block, Cloud, Ice, Note Block, and the Music Block.
While the newly discovered glitch in "Super Mario Maker" for Wii U has got some fans excited, it has also caused worries among others. However, an update on Nov. 4 is expected to be released to fix the bug.
