'Supergirl' Episode 6 Spoilers, Plot News: Kara Takes On The Red Tornado; Love Triangle Discussed
CBS' hit superhero drama TV series "Supergirl" Season 1 returns this week with yet another action-packed episode that will see the girl from Krypton losing her cool during a training exercise. Meanwhile, series executive producer dishes details about the love triangle happening in the show.
According to the synopsis for the episode titled "Red Faced," Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) will be having a training session with Red Tornado, a cyborg commissioned by the military in the person of General Sam Lane (Glenn Morshower), Lucy Lane's (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) dad.
Things are expected to go awry during the exercise when personal and professional stress gets the better of the National City's heroine. In the promo clip for the episode it is revealed that Kara will agree to fight with the robot. However, Kara's duel with the mechanized entity turns bad when Red Tornado goes rogue. Supergirl is then forced to handle the situation.

Meanwhile, in the softer side of the story, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the love triangle in the show. Apparently, the parties involved are quite clueless as to what is happening with them.
"Winn [Jeremy Jordan] is obviously blind with jealousy that Kara has taken a shine to James [Mehcad Brooks], but what's hilarious is that James has absolutely no idea that Winn is into Kara," the showrunner said.
Being unaware of what is going on, Kreisberg added that James' pleasant treatment with Winn will leave the latter even more annoyed.
"At the end of the day, both of them care so much about Kara and really are heroes in their own right, that whatever tension there is always gets put in the backseat when it comes to saving the day," the EP added.
"Supergirl" Season 1 Episode 6 airs Monday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. on CBS.
