'Supergirl' Season 1 News: PaleyFest Panel Talks About 'Arrow' Crossover; Italia Ricci Talks About Banshee

Series executives for "Supergirl" Greg Berlanti and Ali Adler recently appeared on the show's PaleyFest panel over this weekend where they dished out some details about the "Supergirl-The Flash" crossover event.

Berlanti, who serves as executive producer in the CBS hit and in The CW's superhero TV series said that having a crossover of both shows is something that they already have envisioned.

"We needed to create a way to do it. We had to introduce Superman since you've heard about him and you've heard about Supergirl, but in worlds of 'Arrow' and 'Flash,' they didn't exist in that world. We introduced the multiverse in 'The Flash' this year and that was always our way in," he said, according to Variety.com.

In an earlier interview with Entertainment Weekly, the EP said that it's like a dream come true for them to finally have the two DC characters unite in a single screen.

"We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making 'Supergirl' -'The Flash' and 'Supergirl' are teaming up!" Berlanti told EW.

Apart from the following statements, not much has been revealed about the upcoming episode. However, The Futon Critic shares some bits of information about Episode 18 which will be called "World's Finest."

According to TFC, the upcoming segment will see Kara (Melissa Benoist) finds an instant ally with the Fastest Man Alive (Grant Gustin) when the latter suddenly appears from an alternate universe. The Flash's arrival is somewhat of a blessing as well as together they face off with Siobhan/Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) and Leslie Willis/Livewire (Brit Morgan). In exchange, the Kryptonian hero will help Barry make his return to Cenral City.

Ricci, in a separate report from EW, teased that despite the tragic decline of her character, which kicked off in "Falling," fans could still see that "there is still a good person somewhere in there." Another good thing here, as the actress revealed, is that Banshee has never found out who really is the Supergirl.

"Supergirl" Season 1 airs Mondays, at 8 p.m. on CBS.
