'Supergirl' Season 1 Spoilers: More Female Superheroes
The hit CBS series "Supergirl" is expected to bring in more female superheroes to the small screen.
According to Comic Book.com, the executive producer of "Supergirl," Ali Adler, recently shared some details about the upcoming episodes of the series. During the panel, she revealed that fans will get to see a couple more female superheroes in the episodes to come.
It was also stated that the main character of the series Kara, played by Melissa Benoist, will soon be interacting with the new characters. Adler added, "We're actually doing that now in our backorder from CBS, so we're actually working on that right now. Absolutely. There might be a little twist to that too."

While she did not reveal who the new female characters will be, there are many speculations on who it could be. There are rumors that it could be Cameron Chase since it was previously reported that Emma Caulfield from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" will be joining the cast of "Supergirl." She is expected to take on the role of Chase, who is a ruthless FBI agent.
Aside from the cast news, the network released the trailer for the upcoming episode of "Supergirl." In the trailer, Kara was seen realizing Hank's, played by David Harewood, real identity. Benoist recently shared some details about her character's new revelation during an interview with Collider.
She stated, "It's so funny the way she reacts. I can't wait for you guys to see it. I don't want to tell you because it's really funny. It's a good thing; she's really happy about it."
The teaser also showed a scene that featured Maxwell Lord, played by Peter Facinelli, abusing James Olsen, played by Mehcad Brooks. The scene created buzz, as it was not explained why Maxwell was doing that to Olsen.
However, the executive producer of the series, Andrew Kreisberg, recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about Max as a villain.
He stated, "For us, the best villains are the ones who aren't mustache-twirling, 'I want to kill everybody. Max really believes he's out to protect the human race. He says in an upcoming episode, 'When Gods walk the Earth, it's mortals that get the short end of the stick.'"
The return of "Supergirl" will be on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.
