'Teen Wolf' Season 5B News, Spoilers: Cast Members Share Details On The Beast; Crystal Reed To Return?
The events are getting more intense and exciting as Season 5B of MTV's hit supernatural TV drama series "Teen Wolf" continues. On its midseason premiere, the Beast of Gevaudan was heavily alluded but its entirety is yet to be revealed on screen.
Giving the fans some heads-up about the season's big bad are cast members Dylan Sprayberry and Khylin Rhambo. In an interview, the stars dished out to Hollywood Life just how scary the monster is.
Rhambo, who plays Mason on the series, said that the Beast is unlike any other villain that Beacon Hills has faced. He divulged that the entity "is so powerful to the point where enemies have to ally and become allegiances together" for them to get a chance on the creature.
The Beast is a lone wolf and is not controlled by anyone, as many would suspect. What makes it even more exceptional is the fact that it has no intention whatsoever other than to lay waste and kill.
"Nothing deep about it, just destroy anything that comes in its path. And that's a little bit different because other baddies are probably out for Scott [Tyler Posey] or this or that. And The Beast just wants to kill," the actor shared.
Sprayberry – who portrays Liam - on the other hand, chimed in to say that "the thing is so cool" and "freaking huge." He further compared it to Marvel's the Incredible Hulk, saying that The Beast was like the Hulk and a wolf combined. Again, the actor pointed out that the Beast is capable of destroying everything in its path.
On the casting side of things, a recent report from BuzzFeed.com said that former cast member Crystal Reed is finally coming back to the show.
According to the publication, the 30-year-old actress, who played Allison Argent in the three previous seasons, will appear in one of the upcoming episodes of Season 5B. But there's a catch: she won't be playing the aforementioned role.
BuzzFeed clarified that she will be taking on the role of a certain Marie-Jeanne-Valet, an ancestor of the Argent family, in the 18th episode called "The Maid of Gevaudan."
"Teen Wolf" Season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on MTV.
