'Teen Wolf' Season 6 Release Date, Spoilers and Updates: 'Stydia' to Come Full Circle During Last Season; Expect Deaths as Cast Deals With 'Stiles-Less' Existence
The New York Comic Con was chock-full of treats and eggs for the television geek, and "Teen Wolf" fans were not disappointed. As per tradition, the team had shown the first eight minutes of the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 premiere, and it's confusing and terrifying as hell.
During the cold open, Hayden (Victoria Moroles) and Liam (Dylan Sprayberry) were prepping up for what looked like a romantic evening. But their night is quickly punctuated by a child screaming for help. Then there's Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski (Tyler Posey and Dylan O'Brien), who ponder about Beacon High not needing them around anymore. As if to quickly counter that idea, the trailer hightailed into car crashes, blood, and armed horsemen, as the Ghost Riders arrive in town. And from the trailer, fans already know who their victim had been: Stiles himself, whose existence was wiped out by these horseback creatures.
'Teen Wolf' talks final season
After that generous display, the cast and crew sat down to discuss "Teen Wolf" Season 6 as the show's final curtain call. The discussion was quickly stirred towards Stydia (Stiles-Lydia, played by Holland Roden), seeing as Stiles had finally dropped the L-bomb on his longtime crush.
While Holland Roden initially deflected the confession by saying Stiles wasn't talking to her necessarily, showrunner Jeff Davis revealed that they're going to bring some relationships into full circle for "Teen Wolf" Season 6. But apparently not all relationships are going to work, as Hayden and Liam's relationship are going to be put to the test for the last season. Meanwhile, Tyler Posey, who plays the True Alpha Scott, said he's going to face some rough times trying to lead the pack.
'Stiles-less existence'
The "Teen Wolf" cast also talked about living without Stiles, and the struggle to keep him within memory. Much of the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 official trailer showed how his best friends and the entire Beacon High struggled with remembering, with Scott and Lydia eventually figuring out they were missing the same person.
And having him erased from memory doesn't mean they get to go along with their lives the same way. Sheriff Stilinski, for one, changes completely without his son. Malia Tate, on the other hand, goes "out of control" without her anchor and best friend.
Long story short, much of the cast won't be getting much happiness for "Teen Wolf" Season 6. Davis has even hinted at a possible death in the series, saying that that was literally the first question they had asked themselves during the initial preparations for the final episodes. But the cast promised a satisfying ending for the franchise's fan, and that each character will be getting a great ending.
"Teen Wolf" Season 6 will air Nov. 15 on MTV.
