Teresa Giudice Prison Update: Giudice Making Friends, Leading Exercise Classes in Prison

Despite reports that claim jailed Bravo star Teresa Giudice has been making enemies in prison because of her diva behavior, Giudice's lawyer says that "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star is doing well in prison and is making friends.

Giudice's lawyer James J. Leonard Jr. told People Magazine on Wednesday, April 29 that the 42-year-old is keeping busy at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut because not only does she work as a kitchen cook, but she is also serving the rest of her 15-month sentence by teaching exercise classes.

"She is helping to teach exercise classes," said Leonard to the magazine. "The women take turns leading classes and Teresa has her little group, so once in a while she takes the lead."

Leonard also shared that the mother of four enjoys her work in the prison kitchen.

"Teresa has a job working in the kitchen. She told me she enjoys it because it helps her pass the time and allows her to interact with the other inmates," she said.

"Plus, she loves being in the kitchen, because it reminds her of home," he added.

The reality star has adjusted to her life in prison even though she had to abide by the prison's rigid, daily schedule.

"Prison is all about establishing and maintaining a routine, and she has done that," said Leonard. "She has adapted well."

As for reports that the Bravo personality is behaving like a diva in jail, Leonard says that the rumors are false.

"Any reports that she is behaving like a diva in prison and not getting along with inmates and the staff is 1,000 percent false," he said. "She is getting along well with everyone—staff, inmates—all the way down the line."

Leonard tells the magazine that Giudice will be released for home confinement on Dec. 23 until her sentence is finished in early February.
