'The 100' Season 3 News: Bob Morley Talks Role and New Threats

Season 3 of "The 100" will air very soon, and just as everyone expected, the new season will bring about new hope for the people of Arkadia as they experience some peace — but not for long.

In a recent interview with IGN, Bob Morley, who plays the role of Bellamy Blake, explained what's in store for his character and what fans should expect to see in the upcoming season.

When asked about his role for the third installment, Morley explained that he won't be jumping into a high position since he is still thinking of the things that took place by the end of season 1. "This season I think that he's [Bellamy] just trying to learn how to become a better leader but not necessarily taking a leadership position," he said.

He went on to explain that all the power Bellamy once had in the first season was "stripped" from him in season 2. As fans already know, Bellamy was trying to redeem himself from his mistakes in the first season and now that he has more experience, it is a logical decision to just guide the younger leaders and not put his foot too much in political aspects.

"He's more of an enforcer. That's his position," Morley said. For the most part, this is a good spot to be in, especially for a character who has been through a lot of hell and once felt that he was unworthy of leadership.

Aside from his role, Morley also discussed the coming of a new threat. He first laid out a few details about the season's beginning. The Arkadians are finally starting to build their own place, raising crops and building settlements. While there is peace for some time, he said fans can expect "other threats" from around the Arkadian border and beyond, aside from the one teased in season 2.

"The 100" season 3 will premiere on Jan. 21 on The CW.
