'The Flash' Season 2 Episode 12 Spoilers: Barry Realizes He's Losing Speed; Will Wells Succeed In His Plans?
It seems like it won't be long before viewers see Zoom finally getting Barry Allen's (Grant Gustin) speed as Wells (Tom Cavanagh) continues his plans to carry out the big bad's bidding.
According to the synopsis posted over at The Futon Critic for the episode "Fast Lane," Barry will work with the Earth-2 professor to find a way to close the time breaches sprouting everywhere in the city. However, their day won't only be focused in this task as Team STAR Labs get wind of the news about a meta-human appearing in Central City. Guest star Marco Grazzini will appear as Tar Pit, a meta-human who has the ability to transform himself into liquid asphalt.
In another development, Iris (Candice Patton) will discover Wally's (Keiynan Lonsdale) dangerous hobby. Her deep concern for her brother will push her to take matters into her own hands. However, it appears that she will find herself in harm's way as she tries to put a stop to Wally's drag racing business.
The promo video shared by The CW on their YouTube Channel further reveals the intense events that fans are about to witness from the show this week. The clip opens up with the revelation of the Tar Pit. Thanks to Cisco's (Carlos Valdes) meta-human app, finding these meta-humans has proved to be an easy task. But getting them away from the public is the hardest part.
The next scene sees Zoom once again prompting Wells to steal Flash's speed and bring it to him in return for the safety of his daughter, Jesse (Violett Beane).
It is yet to be confirmed in the episode but it seems like Wells might already have the tool to carry out the job of drawing in the Scarlett Speedster's power. Near the end of the video, Barry realizes that he has become slower when he fails to save Iris from a broken glass projectile.
"The Flash" Season 2 Episode 12 "Fast Lane" premieres Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
