'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: Director Kevin Smith Drops Season Finale Hints
The CW's hit superhero drama TV series "The Flash" is now down to its last two episodes for the Season 2 finale and things are already getting pretty much intense.
Kevin Smith, who directed the show's last episode, titled "The Runaway Dinosaur," shared some exciting details about the season-ender.
"I saw that breakdown and was like [gasps]. And then for what they decided to do for the absolute finale ... it was kind of mad s--t as well. It's crazy. Like this is a show that ends big," Smith said in the recent episode of his Fatman on Batman podcast. He was joined by series recurring star, Teddy Sears, who plays the evil speedster Zoom.
Smith went on to explain that the events in Episode 21 and 22 are "really crucial" to what might unfold in the finale segment.
"…it feels like a triumvirate of episodes. [It] ends insanely, insanely strong," he went on to say.
Sears chimed in to tease that his character will have a final showdown with the titular hero, played by Grant Gustin, and since they are speedsters, the best way to do it is by having a "sprint off."
"The Flash" Season 2 finale called "The Race Of His Life" airs on May 24.
For the meantime, the show returns this week with a brand new episode titled "Invincible." The Futon Critic shares a synopsis which indicates the return of "Arrow" star Katie Cassidy in the DC TV universe. Fans of the Stephen Amell-starred series may know that Cassidy's alter-ego, Black Canary, is already dead. This time around, however, the actress will appear as the heroine's Earth-2 doppelganger, Black Siren.
In another development, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) will finally take some matters into his own hands as he went out to the street to help the man who saved him from Zoom. Wally's acts will worry Joe (Jesse L. Martin), but can he stop his kid from doing something worthwhile in his life?
Meanwhile, Iris (Candice Patton) and Henry (John Wesley Shipp) worries about Barry. Check out the trailer for Episode 22 below:
