'The Flash' Season 2 Spoilers: More Surprises in Store

There are more surprises in store when the second season of "The Flash" returns on The CW.

The midseason finale of "The Flash" shocked fans when they saw Wally West, played by Keiynan Lonsdale, in Central City. With that, more unexpected events will be happening once the season returns to the small screen.

A teaser for the upcoming episodes was revealed by The CW. It was revealed that Barry, played by Grant Gustin, and the rest of the team will be busy as they take on two villains. Apparently, they will continue trying to deal with Zoom, played by Tony Todd, as well as the return of Reverse-Flash, who was the villain in the previous season.

There has been much speculation on Zoom's relation to Henry Allen. It was speculated that Henry Allen from Earth 2 could be Zoom. Some evidence that support this theory is the face that Zoom's physique is too large to be Barry. In addition, it was revealed that Barry from Eart 2 is actually a reporter, which will make it unlikely for him to be Zoom. In addition, Henry Allen had already left Central City after being freed from jail.
The return of Reverse-Flash surprised fans of the series since the first season had supposedly killed him off.

While the answer to his mysterious return has yet to be revealed, the executive producer of "The Flash" Todd Helbing recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about how Reverse Flash will affect the episodes to come. He stated, "His impossible return to Central City puts a member of the S.T.A.R. Labs team in unexpected danger, forcing Barry to make a life-changing decision."

Nevertheless, fans can expect that the second half of "The Flash" will be more action packed and full of shocking new discoveries.

"The Flash" season 2 is expected to return on The CW this Jan. 19.
